Ken Carter

When he joined Rivermaid Trading Company in 2010, Ken brought a wealth of experience earned on a career path that included production agriculture, food processing, produce shipping, ag finance and, ultimately, the creation of his own produce marketing company. Along the way, he earned a B.S. in Agricultural and Managerial Economics from UC Davis. Today, Ken leads the executive team responsible for creating the strategic direction for our entire company, developing solutions designed to benefit our customers and shareholders.

Having been “raised in agriculture,” Ken always knew he’d be involved in the industry in some way. Building his diverse résumé helped him identify specific areas of appeal, including the opportunity of working with both small family farms and Fortune 500 companies, merging the goals of a farmer with those of a consumer, and working with people who are passionate about the industry and their role in it.

“I feel as comfortable in the field as I do at a corporate meeting,” Ken says, adding that his understanding of the creative process enables him to “build season-long programs that help our customers support their daily sales.”

“The bottom line? I want Rivermaid Trading Company to be great at marketing produce. We can be the best.”

Married for 21 years, Ken enjoys reading, flyfishing and hunting.
