In 1843, Joseph B Chiles came from Missouri to California and began farming. Fast forward five generations to Rivermaid Trading Company, a family farming business and leading innovator in growing, packing and shipping fresh pears and cherries to people around the world.
Rivermaid is owned by childhood friends Chiles Wilson and Brian Machado. Our business is headquartered in Lodi, California with two additional facilities in the Sacramento Delta communities of Walnut Grove and Courtland.
With a team of seasoned professionals, employees and grower partners – many who’ve been with the company for generations, Rivermaid Trading Company is at its roots a family farm. But, as our fifth generation takes over, we’re also a forward-thinking, vertically integrated farming enterprise.
Today, as always, every piece of fruit from Rivermaid is grown with care, picked by hand, packed to the highest quality standards and produced in a socially and environmentally responsible fashion.
